Please note: We are no longer participate as a CGA sanctioned district. Please refer to the AVDR Rule Book for the current rules and qualifications for year end prizes. We are running 7 events at each show this year. Our club meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the club house. All AVDR members are welcome.

  • None

New Business:

  • After some discussion about revising the new rules regarding the new awards program to include the AAA division. It was decided to leave the AAA division exempt from the new rule at this time.
  • Clarification of the new rule regarding saddle winners: If you win the saddle and choose to ride the same horse in the same division next year, you will not be eligible to compete for the saddle, but will be guaranteed a special AVDR championship buckle if you finish in the top five. This rule will apply to you for two years after winning the saddle.
  • Jennifer Teifuhr has stepped down from the Board.
  • Dianna Lane will purchase the awards for the costume contest and make up the participation bags.
  • Doug purchased a more powerful amplifier to be installed. This should take care of the sound issues.
  • Tables and Chairs have been rented for the awards banquet.
  • Sherry will have the banquet sign up sheets available for the show on Sunday and will email them out to all members as well.
  • The Harris and Westfall families will provide the food for the banquet again this year with the exception of the baked beans, which Wendy Mesny so graciously offered to make.
  • Lunch will include either a pulled pork or teriyaki chicken sandwich, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, garden salad, drink and dessert. The cost for lunch will be $8 per person.
  • The events we will run at the awards banquet/play day will be as follows:
    1. Clover Leaf Barrels
    2. Poles Keyhole
    3. Arkansas Poles
  • There will be a head to head “Match Race” at the end of the events.
  • The cost to ride is $20 for the day. Each additional run will be $2. You do not have to be a CGA member to ride but you do have to be an AVDR member. If you are not an annual AVDR member, you may purchase a one month membership for $5.
  • The next Board Meeting will be held at Perkies 5022 West Avenue N at 7:00 p.m. *** Edit - Next board meeting pushed back to November 10th, 7:00 PM. Still at Perkies ***
